Haridwar

Situated along the holy Ganga, Haridwar is famous for its temples and ghats where pilgrims bathe to relieve themselves of their sins and achieve salvation. An ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India's Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills.
